If you are interested in seeing a very different retelling of the “Jesus story,” from the point of view of Judas Iscariot (singing here, and played by Carl Anderson), I have a recommendation: the 1973 movie Jesus Christ Superstar. I was five when I first saw it, and had no idea (at the time) that the film was widely hated by so many Christians, but it is.
This sample is the song “Heaven On Our Minds,” from near the beginning of the film — enough to decide whether or not you are interesting in watching all of it.
